AZNP Classes & Rules

Arizona No Prep Racing has the final call on cars in these classes— If a car is questionable, a three person committee will be consulted and a vote will be held to see if the car fits within the spirit of our racing classes. There isn’t a perfect solution for rules, there are grey area cars. If you have questionable car please Contact Us. Especially Medium and BIG TIRE!

We have the right to refuse any car that’s why you should ask first. We are a small No Prep Racing family and you will not find a harder working group of people that wants to be fair and wants this type of racing to continue and thrive for the racers, and the fans!

 
 

Small Tire Class:

28 x 10.5 15 and Below.

Small Tire class cars require steel roof and quarters. Advanced and Big Tire classes are allowed to have have fiberglass/Composite style bodies. ALL cars must be within the spirit of the class.

Intermediate Tire Class:

29.5 x 10.5 to a 32.0 x 16.0-15 (includes 28 X 10.5W)

Advanced Tire Class:

33.0/10.5-15W to a 33.0/10.5-16W

Big Tire Class:

33.5/16.5-16 or Larger.

Racer $100.00 Buy in and 100% payback for each tire class. (Please Pay All Race Fees and Buy In's at the gate) *See note below.

6.50 Index Class:

Any Door car. No fiberglass bodies except OEM.

Any engine or power adder. No electronic ads and no throttle stops. Any tire.

Gate fee: $30.00

True Street Class:

Heads up 1/8th Mile Format - Instant Green.

Racer $50.00 Buy in and 100% payback for each tire class. (Please Pay All Race Fees and Buy In's at the gate) *See note below.

All Drivers names will be randomly drawn until the field is complete.

 

Body: No full fiberglass bodies are allowed. Original Factory fiberglass bodies are okay. Vehicles must be street legal. Must provide proof of registration and insurance. Cars must have working headlights and taillights. Fiberglass or composite replacement panels (bumpers, hood, deck-lid & doors) are allowed. No Lexan.

Tires: DOT Slick Tires or DOT Legal Radial Tires only. Racing Slicks are Prohibited.

Frame/Suspension: Any stock location suspension is allowed front and rear. Back Halved, Full Tube Frame Cars are NOT allowed. No Wheelie Bars. No Ladder Bars.

Lettering/Decals: AZNP True Street Decals are limited to the bottom drivers side windshield.

Engine/Exhaust: Engine must be in stock location. Exhaust must extend past original Firewall/Vertical Gap between the Fender and Door.

Tech: Tech Card must be completed and be brought with the car to the scales for tech inspection. All cars must pass rules and a safety inspection to race.

Disqualification: Disqualification will be rendered for any of the following: Crossing the center-line, improper staging procedures, failure to report to the Staging Lanes when called, reckless driving or speeding in the pit area or on the return road.

Crew Members: Your Crew Members (2) must leave the starting line and burnout area after each pass.
